From our beginning with an enthusiastic team of 6, we have grown to have a committed team of over 75 highly skilled professionals working from our own single site, dedicated location. The whole team work closely together, and with our delivery partners, on specific services and often supporting individual practices or primary care networks. How would you describe working at BPC?
It's a nice place to work and everyone's very supportive. When I started I said I wanted to grow and I was very quickly given that opportunity.

What do you most enjoy about your job?
Working on new projects and the chance to problem solve and overcome challenges. I have a long background working in care homes and I enjoy still being able to support them with remote monitoring.

What would you say to someone thinking about joining BPC?

The diversity of the role of a care co-ordinator. No two days are the same and you're always getting the chance to take on new challenges.

We try real hard to help people settle in and be comfortable. If you don’t know something there is always someone to ask and you're never made to feel you’re a nuisance.

I love the buzz in the BPC hub and the support you get from working as part of a large multidisciplinary team. I really enjoy supporting the whole pharmacy team to develop to be the best they can be to deliver great care for our patients.

NHS Care Coordinator / Patient Advisor

This is a new role for our Virtual Hub. The role blends that of a GP receptionist with sign posting and patient advisor. The post holder will both answer telephone calls from patients and will also receive electronic consultation requests from both E-Consult and Klinik platforms, depending on the GP Practice system. The role will then involve directing patients to, and booking them into /referring them onto the most appropriate service for their needs.

The candidate will need a flexible approach to change and be instrumental in the delivery of the high quality patient centred care. The role will be based at our offices in Bracknell.

This role gives the exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and committed team and to help shape the delivery of services and projects to the patient population.

Clinical (HCA) Care Coordinator

Foundation Pharmacists training programme

At Berkshire Primary Care we are delighted to offer two cross sector foundation pharmacist training positions where you will spend a full 6 months in both primary care and a local community pharmacy (DayLewis Sunninghill).

During your time in primary care you will be fully supported by a large, friendly and experienced clinical pharmacy team of independent prescribers, clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. You will be supported to deliver your own face to face clinics in surgery as well as experience the wider aspects of primary care at scale in our PCN hub. This will give you access to our care homes team, paramedics and social prescribers.

A training placement with us will give you

• access to a DPP to ensure you are prescriber ready on day one as a qualified pharmacist

Spring 2025 Covid vaccination programme starting 1st April 2025

Berkshire Primary Care are looking for extra vaccinators to join our team at Spedan House for the forthcoming programme for Covid and Flu vaccinations.

(Zero hours contract - £20.00 per hour)

Shifts available: Monday to Friday 09:00-14:00 or 14:00-19:00, Saturdays 09:00-19:00

Previous vaccination experience is desirable but not essential as the required training will be provided. We vaccinate under PGD, so Practitioners working must be one of the following registered professionals who can legally supply and administer under a PGD:

  • Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians currently registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Chiropodists/podiatrists, dieticians, occupational therapists, orthoptists, orthotists/prosthetists, paramedics, physiotherapists, radiographers
  • Speech and language therapists currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Dental hygienists and dental therapists registered with the General Dental Council
  • Optometrists registered with the General Optical Council
